Event Planning Portfolio is Instant Time Saver

Recently, I was part of a planning team at work for a large event that we, as a company, annually attend. Up front, the event itself didn’t seem so complicated. I was aware of our deadlines and knew what needed to get done. As the event neared, things got hectic and I found myself shuffling through pages daily looking for information.

I decided that taking a few minutes out of my day to better organize the event information would eliminate my frustration of not being able to find various documents. In the past, I have used many of our project folders to store event or trade show paperwork. This particular event was too large and it called for a bigger storage option.

Student Work Stored in Organized Report Cover

This week’s blog topic is report covers and while brainstorming, I discovered a unique way to use the report covers outside of its typical use.

While C-Line has many different styles of report covers, the Vinyl Report Cover with Binding Bar is undoubtedly the most traditional. This product has become an office must-have primarily because it creates professional presentations or hand-outs in minutes.

Binder Holder Labels Keep Containers Organized

This past weekend, I spent the majority of my time doing major reorganization of my kitchen. My goal was to free up some space by being smarter about how things were stored. One way I planned to accomplish this was by using small rubber containers to store many random items that would otherwise end up floating in a drawer.

I used several containers to store things like medicine, office supplies and extra napkins. Since these items were not typically used on a day-to-day basis, they were able to be stored in the higher shelf of the cabinet.

Plaid Expanding File Organizes Greeting Cards

September is a busy month for birthdays in my family. Knowing this, I try to get all my gift shopping done in August to avoid last minute trips to the store. While I may be prepared when it comes to the gift, I somehow always forget to pick-up a card.

Recently, I was discussing this with a coworker who suggested stocking up on greeting cards so that I would always have one available at home. As simple as it seems, this thought had never occurred to me. (more…)
