How to use a laminating film folder

Wednesday, May 5th, 2010

Have you ever used one of my most favorite (yes, I know that isn’t proper grammar) products, the Quick Cover? Do you know what it is? No? Well, let me know explain.

The Quick Cover is a laminating folder or holder or pocket or whatever you would like to call it. It allows you to easily laminate a letter size piece of paper and create professional-looking documents in a snap. The front is super heavyweight clear plastic, while the back is Cleer Adheer laminating film. On one of the long sides, the plastics are already adhered together when you receive the product. All you have to do it insert the paper, pull off the liner and press the two plastic together.

Cleer Adheer is useful even on vacation

Monday, December 21st, 2009

Previously, I told you that I like to use some C-Line products outside of the office. You already know that I cannot travel without polyzip bags and I planned my destination wedding using the expanding file with handles, but I found a new use for an old item – Cleer Adheer.

Not too long ago, I received these photos from a friend who took a cruise vacation over the summer. The cruise line gave them paper tags to put on all their luggage. The tags were pre-printed with their cabin information, to ensure the bags made it from the pier to the correct stateroom.

Since they also were flying to the port from Chicago, they figured they would not be able to get from the airport to the cruise terminal, put the tags on, and board with enough time. Plus, this was a vacation and who wants to be rushing on a vacation, right?!? Not liking the fact that these paper tags had to be secured to their luggage with merely tape or staples and survive the airline baggage handlers and cruise terminal porters, she thought of something else. Her and her husband decided to laminate the paper with the plastic laminating sheets, to make it stronger, then staple the ends together, to secure to the bags.

Custom sheet protectors available from C-Line

Friday, December 18th, 2009

In addition to our stock line of products, C-Line also has an entire custom order department. Yes, if there is something about a product, like a sheet protector, that you need made to your specific needs, we can help.

So for instance, say you need custom sheet protectors that are a special size, like 4 x 6 to accommodate a daily schedule book that your students use. You cannot find this size anywhere and you want to sell it in your school’s bookstore. Or, you want to sell a sheet protector that features a binding strip in the school’s colors with the school’s logo embossed on it, rather than that plain, white strip in our current products. What do you do?

Friday, June 26th, 2009

This past Friday was Take Your Dog to Work Day, but at C-Line, that is every day! Every weekday, Sir Lancelot joins the rest of the C-Line team. He even takes the time to write his own blog, including his uses and suggestions for C-Line products.

Did you know that heavyweight sheet protectors are great for organizing agility rules? If you subscribed to Lancelot’s blog, you would.

He is also kind enough to let us know when he spots a C-Line product while out and about, like when he noticed the use of Cleer Adheer® laminating film during the McCormick Dog Show earlier this year.

When not writing his blog about office products, Sir Lancelot lounges near his office. He has become one of the C-Line team.  He is shown here with his C-Line Name Tent.

Antimicrobial protection from Microban & C-Line

Thursday, May 14th, 2009

Just how clean is your office? Do you regularly wipe down your desk, mouse, telephone? Use products specially formulated to help prevent the growth of stain causing bacteria? If not, can you imagine all the germs and bacteria crawling around on your desk right now?  It is no wonder that studies have shown that the desktop is the germiest place in the office. I never gave the cleanliness of my desk much thought either, until I saw this video from Microban antimicrobial product protection that explains the benefits of products that use Microban protection, like antimicrobial protected sheet protectors. Did you see in the video how quickly bacteria can multiply? Yuck! But the video also shows how Microban protection helps to prevent the growth of stain causing bacteria, yeasts, molds, and fungi for the life of the product? Go Microban! (more…)
