Tuesday, January 13th, 2009

The state of the economy today is not pretty and not one we wished for, but we do have to deal with it. As businesses and organizations are beginning to cut back, they are also looking for bargain on items they are currently using.

Turkey, Potatoes and Pie, Oh My…

Monday, November 24th, 2008

Having your office walls work for you

Monday, November 10th, 2008

With your desk drawers organized, let’s turn our attention to the “walls” as a means to organize your office.  There are several ways to utilize the vertical space in your office, home, or cubicle to make your workspace more efficient.

  1. Cubicle KeeperIf you have a fabric wall or board, use this to hang ongoing projects, schedules, and tasks. For instance, I am currently working on color combinations for new products. So on my board, I have paper swatches pinned up. This way, I am able to change them daily and see which color combinations work best together. Next to the swatches is a current listing of new products, so that I always have a reminder of what I need to strive for. Since I access the list daily, it is kept in a Cubicle Keeper, allowing for quick, easy changes when needed.

The Bridezilla is here

Monday, October 20th, 2008

This past summer, I got married with a destination wedding to La Quinta, California. And although there were only 12 people in attendance, there was still a lot to coordinate, plan and keep track of. Everything went as scheduled and it was all because I was organized!

To help me keep straight all the various contracts, event orders, vendors and ideas, I used an Expanding File With Handles. This was the perfect organizational tool to keep different vendors’ information separate, but still be accessible in one convenient place. Also, the chic black exterior and handles meant I could carry everything I needed to all appointments and still look stylish, a very important factor for a bride-to-be.
