Before and After: Proximity Badge Holders

Wednesday, December 9th, 2015

It seems like more and more places are providing an access card in order to allow individuals in and out of a company’s building. My gym, apartment complex and office building are among many other entry cards that I tend to carry on me at all times.

These cards are important and should be protected when they are being stored. They serve an important purpose, allowing you access to buildings, so they should be kept separate from other items like business and gift cards.

Before and After: ID Holders in the Workplace

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015

When it comes to working in manufacturing and other industrial settings, safety is an important aspect to always consider. Promoting a safe work environment requires businesses to examine everything from machinery operations to employees’ attire.

A friend, who works at a local manufacturing plant, recently told me about a switch that his company had made in how their employees displayed their ID badges. In the past, all employees were required to display their name badges around their neck.

Tip of the Month: Traditional Lanyards Still Valuable Supply

Wednesday, June 10th, 2015

When it comes to using office products, sometimes it is best to go back to the basics and incorporate the use of some traditional supplies.

Traditional supplies like a sheet protector or a name badge have been around for quite some time and continue to be beneficial in the home or office. Lanyards are another great item that is economical, durable and serves a variety of purposes.

Before and After: Wooden Name Badge Holder

Thursday, April 30th, 2015

At the beginning of the year, my brother’s company has a big sales meeting that is hosted at their corporate office. Since many of the reps are coming from different parts of the country, it is helpful to use name badges to help identify who people are.

In the past, the badges have been placed on a table for the reps to pick up before the start of the conference. I suggested that my brother try using the Wooden Name Badge Holder to help keep the badges organized and speed up the time it takes to locate each badge.

With a new semester brings a whole new set of students’ and names to learn. Many teachers have different methods to identifying who is who in the classroom.

Although C-Line has many ID products to choose from, the Labeling Pockets are a great tool to use. Not only will the names remain visible, but the insert with the student’s name can be removed if needed.

Security Wristbands Help Indicate Price Levels at Garage Sale

Wednesday, July 30th, 2014

To me, one of the staples of summer is weekend garage sales. Once the weather starts to warm up, it seems like one can be found in almost any neighborhood. This year, I decided to participate in our subdivision’s annual garage sale in hopes of getting rid of some clutter.

Since I have never prepared for something like this before, I did not expect the amount of preparation that was involved in getting organized for the sale. The biggest element was determining how to price and label items.

Ideally, I wanted to create a price system that was easy for our garage sale crew to interpret. I decided to use color as a way to identify what price range items should be sold at. This would allow our helpers to know how low they could go when negotiating with potential buyers.
