Q and A: Organizing Home Manuals and Warranty Info

Often times, our customers look to us to make suggestions on how to use our items. Whether they need help for a particular situation or just want more information on how to best use a product, we at C-Line are happy to guide them in the right direction!

Here is a recent question we received from a customer.

When it comes to work, I am the most organized individual. When it comes to home, that is another story! I don’t have enough space to place filing cabinets throughout my house so it makes it difficult create an organizational system. I recently moved and have a variety of manuals, instructions and appliance warranties that need to be organized. Any thoughts on how I can store this information?

Thank you for your question! You are not alone in your battle to keep both household documents in order. Instruction manuals are very important documents, which people overlook or throw out when having no formal place to store them.

Instead of trying to use a bulky item like a filing cabinet, why not use C-Line’s High Capacity Shop Ticket Holder?

C-Line's High Capacity Shop Ticket HolderDurable in nature, the vinyl holders keep up to 150 pages protected at once.

Since it is constructed with super heavyweight vinyl material, the holder has the ability to protect documents regardless of where you store them. The 9” x 12” holder can expand up to 1”, allowing it to store manuals that are up to 150 sheets in size.

My recommendation would be to use one holder per major household item. Inside the shop ticket holder store the manual, warranty and maintenance schedule. This will make it easy to pull all the information on the appliance at one time, eliminating the risk of misplacing the documents.

Store the holders in a kitchen or office drawer. Not only will this take up less space than a filing cabinet, but it may even keep you more organized.

What did you think of our suggestion? If you are encountering some organizational woes, feel free to add a comment with your question and we will answer it in our next Q and A blog post!
