Six Steps to Create Your Own Face Shield

No one expected to be living through a pandemic. So, like most people, you probably don’t own a face mask or a face shield.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began many customers have reached out looking for material to make face shields. Some customers are health care workers who pair the face shield with a surgical or isolation mask to provide the utmost protection. Other customers are community advocates looking to make shields to help people deal with the current situation. And again, other customers are everyday folks looking to make their own protective gear before visiting the pharmacy or grocery store.

To help, below are instructions on how to construct your own face shield by using a C-Line sheet protector:

1. Choose a sheet protector with a clear finish. It’s not clear as glass, but you can see through it. Available options include Heavyweight Poly Sheet Protectors, 62023 or Super Heavyweight Poly Sheet Protectors, 61003 or Antimicrobial Protected Heavyweight Poly Sheet Protectors, 62033.

2. Poke the left temple of your glasses through the top hole of the 3-hole sheet protector.

3. Poke the right temple of your glasses through the bottom hole of the 3-hole sheet protector.

4. Pull the sheet protector down over the temples.

5. Flip the sheet protector in front of your glasses.

6. Wear the sheet protector face shield over your glasses when you’re out and about.
